Monleras Work Camp 2016 - 1º turn [Days 11, 12 and 13]

Hello everyone agaaain! The last weekend was crazy here in Monleras, we didn't stop doing things! On Friday and Saturday morning we were working and finishing all the tasks at the work camp, as these were the last "hard working" days. Also, a group of girls started working on a mural to be painted in the cultural centre. On Friday afternoon we went on an excursion. First, we stopped by Almendra's dam, which is a masterpiece of engineering, and then we headed off for Vilvestre, which is a village next to the Arribes del Duero. There, we got on a boat where we could sail along the Arribes, it was so beautiful! After that we went to Aldeadávila, a village nearby, to have a drink and we ended the day at the top of a mountain, looking at the sunset.

On Sunday afternoon we went canoeing to the lake and at night we saw a theatrical performance in the village and then we had a small party at the work camp. Waking up on Sunday was difficult, but we could do it! On Sunday morning we started recording the lipdub which we make every year and which you will see uploaded on YouTube these days. Then we spent all the afternoon cooking, because at night we held the Masterchef dinner, where the volunteers would invite the families they had spent a morning with and we all would taste international and national dishes, they were all delicious! (well… ALMOST all of them! :P) Stay tuned for the last days!

Hola de nuevooooo! El último fin de semana fue de locura en Monleras, no paramos de hacer cosas! El viernes y el sábado por la mañana estuvimos trabajando y terminando todas las tareas del campo de trabajo, ya que éstos eran los últimos días de "trabajo duro". Además, un grupo de chicas empezó a trabajar en un mural que será pintado en el centro cultural. El viernes por la tarde fuimos de excursión. Primero paramos en lap resa de Almendra, que es una obra maestra de ingeniería, y luego nos dirigimos a Vilvestre, un municipio en plenos Arribes del Duero. Allí nos subimos a un barco en el que navegamos por las Arribes, fue precioso! Después fuimos a Aldeadávila, un pueblo cercano, para tomar algo y terminamos el día cenando en la cima del monte viendo la puesta de sol.

El sábado por la tarde nos fuimos a hacer piragüismo al embalse y por la noche vimos una representación teatral en el pueblo y luego tuvimos una fiestecilla en el campo de trabajo. Levantarnos el domingo por la mañana fue complicado, pero pudimos! Esa misma mañana empezamos a grabar el lipdub que hacemos todos los años y que veréis pronto subido en YouTube estos días. Luego nos pasamos la tarde cocinando, ya que por la noche organizamos nuestra típica cena Masterchef, donde los voluntarios invitan a las familias con las que pasaron la mañana a probar platos internacionales y nacionales típicos de cada zona, estaban todo deliciosos! (bueno... CASI todos! :P) Permaneced atentos para los últimos días!
