Monleras Work Camp 2016 - 1º turn [Days 7 and 8]

Hello everyone! After everything we had done at the weekend, we woke up on Monday sliiiiightly tired, but we soon got to work and continued. These days we finished sanding down and painting the SandBox castle and started building some walls as buttresses for the walls in the "Oca" game. In the building with the oven we continued putting stones around the oven and cleaned windows and wood on the ceiling. We even had time to water ourselves a little bit against the heat!

On Monday afternoon we visited different buildings. First we went to a chicken farm to see how it works and the different varieties of chicken there. Then we moved on to a sheep farm and even got to milk some of them. Finally we learnt about the process of making cheese. At night we played a game with the children at the village called "Darkness", where some of them had to hide and the rest of us trying to look for them. Any time any of us found them, we had to hide with them. It was so difficult!

On Tuesday afternoon we had a photographic gymkhana around the village where they had to try to get some pictures in different places. We dedicated the night to the stars, we went to a point to observe the stars and constellations, and to learn a little bit more about them. Stay tuned for more!

Hola a todos! Después de todo lo que hicimos el fin de semana, nos levantamos el lunes un pelíiiiiiin cansados, pero pronto nos pusimos a trabajar y seguir con la faena. Estos días terminamos de lijar y pintar el castillo del Arenero y empezamos a construir unos muros de contrafuertes para las paredes del juego de la Oca. En el cernidero con el horno seguimos colocando piedras alrededor del horno y a limpiar ventanas y la madera del techo. Incluso tuvimos tiempo para regarnos un poco contra el calor!

El lunes por la mañana visitamos diferentes edificios. Primero fuimos a un gallinero para ver cómo funciona y las diferentes variedades de gallinas que hay allí. Luego fuimos a una explotación ganadera e incluso pudimos ordeñar algunas ovejas. Por último aprendimos el proceso de creación del queso. A la noche hicimos un juego con los niños del pueblo llamado "Tinieblas", en el que algunos de ellos tenían que esconderse y el resto de nosotros teníamos que intentar encontrarles. Siempre que uno de nosotros les encontrara, tenía que esconderse con ellos. Fue bastante complicado! El martes por la tarde hicimos una gymkhana fotográfica por el pueblo en la que tenían que intentar conseguir ciertas fotos en diferentes lugares. Dedicamos la noche a las estrellas, nos fuimos a un punto a observar estrellas y constelaciones y a aprender un poquito más sobre ellas. Permaneced atentos para más!
