Monleras Work Camp - 2º turn [Days 8 and 9]

Hello again! Wednesday finally arrived and that meant family day! On this day the volunteers spent a whole morning working and living with different families in the village and they also had lunch with them. Some of them took care of animals and other ones of vegetable gardens. In the afternoon we visited a chicken farm and a sheep farm, for the ones who had not had the opportunity to do so, apart from a cheese factory. At night we gave them the free night because we are in the middle of the work camp and we want them to be with energy for the home stretch.

On Thursday they kept on working at the work camp, as there are only a few days before they leave to finish the work. In the afternoon we had a workshop prepared by Isabel, a girl from the village, in which the volunteers learnt how to deal with leather. At night we played a gymkhana with the children in the village and it was cool. The next day more and better, stay tuned!

Hola de nuevo! El miércoles finalmente llegó y eso significa día de familias! En este día los voluntarios se pasaron toda la mañana trabajando y viviendo con diferentes familias del pueblo y también comieron con ellos. Algunos de ellos estuvieron con animales y otros se encargaron de huertos. Por la tarde visitamos un gallinero ecológico y una explotación ganadera para los que no habían tenido la oportunidad de hacerlo, aparte de una quesería. Por la noche les dimos noche libre ya que estamos a mitad de campo de trabajo y queremos que tengan energía para la recta final.

El jueves siguieron trabajando en el campo de trabajo, ya que sólo quedan unos pocos días antes de irnos para acabar el trabajo. Por la tarde hicimos un taller preparado por Isabel, una chica del pueblo, en el que los voluntarios aprendieron a tratar el cuero. Por la noche hicimos una gymkhana con los chavales del pueblo y estuvo guay. Al próximo día más y mejor, permaneced atentos!
