Monleras Workcamp [Days 8 and 9]

Hello again! On Wednesday we lived the family day, in which the volunteers spent a whole morning with families from the village, working and living with them, and of course having lunch with them! In the afternoon we went to the swimming pool and at night we played a game around the hostel.

On Thursday we continued with the work in the morning, and in the afternoon we had a soap workshop thanks to Raquel, a neighbour of the village. We learnt how to make soap and she gave us a simple recipe to keep it. At night we played a gymkhana organised by our trainee camp leader, Santi, with all the kids from the village.

¡Hola de nuevo! El miércoles vivimos el día de las familias, en el que los voluntarios se pasaron toda la mañana con familias del pueblo, trabajando y viviendo con ellos, ¡y por supuesto comiendo con ellos! Por la tarde fuimos a la piscina y por la noche hicimos un juego alrededor del albergue.

El jueves continuamos el trabajo por la mañana, y por la tarde hicimos un taller de jabones gracias a Raquel, una vecina del pueblo. Aprendimos a hacer jabón y nos dio una receta sencillita para guardarla. Por la noche hicimos una gymkhana organizada por nuestro monitor en prácticas, Santi, con todos los niños del pueblo.
